I just started shooting my first super8 short a couple days ago; we were on location in the mountains and shooting in the rain--really cool location. Anyway, I was setting the f-stop from external meterings, and I forgot to meter two of the shots. Lighting conditions were fairly uniform, but there was maybe a one to one and a half stop difference between the shot that I metered and the one that I didn't.

I've never used K40 before and I don't know how it will behave. Is this going to be bad? I'll be editing digitally, so can I fix it then?

Also, another question: I'm using a spring-wound Kinoflex, so I unload the film and let the spring unwind after I shoot, so the footage indicator gets reset. How can I tell when I get to the end of the roll?

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

You may have blown the exposure....It is kinda hard to say but my guess is that 1.5 stops will be either to dark or to light too save on k40.

    Good Luck
    PS--Where were you shooting??

Perhaps 1.5 stops was an exaggeration - I'm crossing my fingers!

I was shooting up in the Poudre River canyon - right up close to the Rockies in Colorado. Really cool spot.
